A ton of things I have signed up for spam me with trash emails that they don’t put in the ‘sales’ or ‘offers’ categories I unchecked. Just because I was forced to create an account to buy one thing doesn’t mean I have a ‘business relatiotionship’ that justifies multiple daily reminders of what they have in stock.

It only borked a game and required rolling back one time that I can remember.
I have a friend who is far more careful about doing their updates because they have frequent problems. Not sure why we have such different experiences.
Unless there is a need for faster communication or because it covers a topic that people have strong emotions about and need to see how others respond so they don’t assume the other person’s feelings about something. There are some cases where humans, being social animals, do need some interaction beyond words to accomplish coordinated tasks.
The vast majority of meetings should be emails though. Just wish people actually read emails…
